chide  [tʃaɪd] v. If you chide someone, you speak to them angrily because they have done something wicked or foolish.
eg. Michael chided herself for being so impatient with his children.
Michael斥责自己对他的孩子们如此不耐心。

chide意思就是斥责;呵斥;指责,一般用法是chide somebody/yourself (for something/for doing something)
