A, B, C, D, etc.are “letters” in the “alphabet”

Useful English tip: A, B, C, D, etc. are not “alphabets”! They are “letters” in the “alphabet”. (One language uses one alphabet.)

Example: “There are 26 letters in the English alphabet.” “How many letters are in the Tamil alphabet?”
